Unlock the Door; Start Your Journey
If you work in an office, then you will likely need to interact with all kinds of different people on an ongoing basis. Being part of an office is less about you, and more about how you can help the company achieve it's goals as part of a group or team.
There are no couches here, no desks. It's not a seminar or a conference. It's just a great group of people who are all willing to try something different, mixed with some structure from Bruce Dougherty and Dr. Gisele Tennant from A Conscious Partner.
We will cover many of the situations and issues that you have likely been facing at work. We will expose information that you wished you would have had years ago. Better yet, we will help improve the way you understand both yourself and your co-workers.

The Conscious Quest is:
Improving Office Dynamics! There are 6 events or "GrowthShops" that make up the journey of A Conscious Office. Each event is designed to help everyone dig a little deeper and better understand each other.
The best part is that these events are interactive, social, and FUN. It's not a classroom; it's not a seminar. This is a group environment that is very similar to sitting with friends at the local pub. We add a little structure, some interesting discussion points, and away we go. |
So How Do We Do This?
This is the easy part.
We have 6 events, each completely different from each other. They can be taken in any order and can be set up on a schedule during office hours, on an evening, or weekend. We can come to your organization, or we can arrange an offsite private room in a local pub or restaurant.

For many organizations, the concern about offering staff training revolves around not having enough time, the cost factor, or having staff in a situation that might make them feel uncomfortable. Let's take a look at these 3 factors.
SAFE - If you have been out to an ACP event, you will know that it is a safe environment. This is not a classroom; it is not a seminar.
If you have never been out, it is hard to describe to you the impact of sitting and talking with others about important subjects that affect the workplace in a structured, but relaxed environment. Yes, your staff will fit in and feel safe! |
The best way to learn more before making a commitment for your office would be to attend one of our other events. They are held in private rooms in local pubs or coffee shops so that you can have a drink, maybe order some food and you can participate at a level where you're comfortable. The events are highly structured with lots of tasks that will help us all learn more about ourselves and others. You get to decide if you want to talk, or just sit and listen!
The Keys to A Conscious Office!

Conscious Communication
Communication (or a lack of effective communication) either make or break most work environment.
Even in the workplace, relationships don’t exist in a vacuum. They exist between emotional human beings who bring their own past experiences, history, and expectations into it. Different people also have different levels of skill when it comes to communication, but the good news is that if communication is a skill, then it can be improved upon. We can all develop our communication skills.
We can all improve our relationships with better communication. So let’s do that! |
Emotional Triggers
All of us have some trigger or “hot button,” that, when pushed, sets us off into uncomfortable emotions that may even lead to anger, hostility or fear, and ultimately, our bad habits. Does that happen to you sometimes? All the time?
You may have heard of “trigger warnings” or “getting triggered”. However, what does “getting triggered” mean, and how can you control it? It is worth putting in the effort to explore your emotional triggers. The more aware you are, the less you will be ruled by your unconscious programming. |
The Conflict Connection
As anyone who has a relationship of any kind knows, conflict is unavoidable, whether it's between partners, friends, parent and child, family, co-workers, etc. It can crop up for any number of reasons, and in many cases, it escalates not because there is a real issue, but because the issues are not being communicated and understood between the parties involved.
As we all think differently, it's easy for something to be poorly communicated or taken out of context in the workplace! We have different moods, different upbringings, different experiences, and different perceptions of almost every subject and situation. How do you handle conflict? How does your "opponent" handle it? Let's find out! |
Explore Your Personality
Why is it important to know your personality type? Well, you will likely get a better understanding of both yourself and your co-worker. We all have different reactions and perceptions to the same situations, and it is essential to understand why.
We see and interact with the world in different ways. No personality type is "better" than any other – just different; each perspective brings something new and exciting to the table. Let's explore, understand, and appreciate our differences! |
Core Values
Our core values play a huge part in our lives. When we are honoring our core values, we feel authentic and confident. If we are not honoring our truest deepest values, that is when we can feel numb and indifferent towards life, and if we are violating our core values, that is when we feel guilt and shame.
Do you know your core values? Do you know your organization's core values? This event will help us discover what we truly value in our private lives and at work. You might be surprised at what values you hold, and how much it will mean to your life and work-life if you start honoring those values. |
Powerful Questions
Powerful questions make us think; they add some clarity to the world we are living in and give us a better understanding of who we are and how we perceive others.
Ultimately, by asking and answering powerful questions, we are given the opportunity to look inside, and to get feedback from others around subjects that we may not have ever looked at or may be avoiding. They help us challenge our ideals. They allow us an opportunity to shed light on some parts of our office behaviors that we may not be addressing and help us ensure we are committing our time and effort towards shedding our bad work habits. |
