"Everyone is a nerd inside, I don't care how cool you are."   Channing Tatum

So what type of geek are you? Gamer? Internet? Music? Films? Academic?

The geek word is often used for the people in the world of technology, but if you look a little deeper, there are geeks of all kinds. Professional athletes, actors, artists, chefs, even funeral directors could be geeks in their own unique way.  So the word “Geek” should not be limited just for the techies.

So what really does make a geek?  The closest answer for that question could be that geeks seem to have a the natural talent in a select area or field.  Your focus is somewhat singular in that area and you enjoy immersing yourself in that obsession. The key to being a geek though is your focus in a particular  area. You need that knowledge and the seemingly insatiable desire to succeed in what you do no matter the challenge that you are facing.  It took time and effort and focus to get where you are now.

So how much attention do you give your relationship? Likely not very much. Why? For most, the answer is because it is hard, confusing and to be honest, not a lot of fun. But here's a question for you. Were you as accomplished in your field of geekdom at 15 years old as you are now? Were you better at 18? And better yet at 21? Of course you were. You improved because you constantly trying to improve. You interacted with like minded people and you learned from them. You did research, you developed your skills and it all has become second nature to you now.

How much practice and training have you committed to relationship development?   How much time did you spend at 15 years old...18 years old...21 years old working on relationship development? Is it fair to say not very much? As a society, there just isn't a focus on relationship development, so there are a lot of people that have never developed the skills...and that makes it hard and confusing, just as it would be hard and confusing for you to decide one day that you wanted master the sport of "Jai alai".

Being a Conscious Partner does take a little effort. Just like anything though, once you learn the concepts and behaviors, it does become second nature. Best of all, relationship development can be fun! We can promise that there are no couches or yoga mats....just straight talk in a fun and relaxed environment. Let us show you how!
